Salvador Dali, Spanish, 1904 to 1989, an original limited edition wood cut print in color on Rives paper after the original watercolor, Saint Peter and Dante. Signed lower right. Numbered 135 of 150, lower left. Framed. Completed with a certificate of authenticity from the Associated American Artists, stamped, and signed. The 101 wood engravings for Divine Comedy were executed over a 14 years period from 1951 to 1964. from 1951 to 1960, Salvador Dali painted the 101 watercolors which were used as studies for the wood engravings. Salvador Dali was a Spanish surrealist artist renowned for his technical skill, precise draftsmanship, and the striking and bizarre images in his work. European Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
