Mixed media artwork by Vadim Voinov, 1940 to 2015, a Russian Noncomformist artist and gallerist. Voinov developed a technique titled functional collage which correlates typologically with counter-reliefs of the Avantgarde artist Vladimir Tatlin, but emphasizes a specific metaphorical statement. This artwork is composed of a wooden base with painted cardboard surface, a paper flower, a childrens leather boot, and a black-and-white female photo portrait. Titled The Upper Part of the Soul.
