Mixed media artwork by Vadim Voinov, 1940 to 2015, a Russian Noncomformist artist and gallerist. Voinov developed a technique titled functional collage which correlates typologically with counter-reliefs of the Avantgarde artist Vladimir Tatlin, but emphasizes a specific metaphorical statement. This artwork is composed of a wooden base, central photo portrait of the WWII Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov, and various military insignia including buttons and pins. Titled Two Sides of the Medal.
