An antique Japanese, late Meiji period, enamel over brass vase. The vase has a sphere shaped body and a wide fluted neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of cranes on the black ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The base of the vase is adorned with a traditional Greek motif made in the same technique.
