A pair of antique late 19th to early 20th-century Greek Orthodox icons representing the Mother of God with Jesus Child in the Hodegetria iconography. Mixed media paintings: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The bigger icon is enclosed in a silver oklad or riza with embossed decor. In Hodegetria iconography Virgin Marys head usually inclines towards the child, who raises his hand in a blessing gesture.
