The first: Louis Justin Laurent Icart, French, 1888 to 1950, an etching aquatint on paper, Le Jardin Japonais, The Japanese Garden, depicting an Art Deco portrait of a lady and a girl seated on a sofa. Signed lower right. Titled in the print, lower to the center. Published in the magazine L Ilustration. Framed. Louis Icart is known for Sensuous female figure drawing and painting, fashion design. His creativity reached its peak during the Art Deco period, and the artist became a real symbol of this era while working in his own style, which relied on the art of French masters of the 18th century. The second: attributed to Jean Dreyfus Stern, French, 1890 to 1980, a watercolor painting on paper depicting a port scene. Signed lower right. Framed. Jean Dreyfus Stern was a French artist, a pupil of Maurice Denis and Antoine Bourdelle. He was captured by painting and became the pupil of Charles Francois Prosper Guerin for painting and Bernard Naudin for engraving and he attended the Academie Colarossi.
