Miniature painting on enamel plaque. European, late 19th century. After ca. 1600 oil painting by Ginevra Cantofoli, 1618 to 1672, an Italian painter of the Bologna school. The artwork represents a portrait of Beatrice Cenci, 1577 to 1599, a Roman noblewoman who became famous for killiling her father to escape the abuse. The original piece is housed in the Galleria Nazionale d Arte Antica of Palazzo Barberini, Rome. Rectangular format. Unsigned. Golden frame. Collectible Fine Art, Portraiture, Decor.
