A vintage modernist style patinated terracotta sculpture of a stylized bird created circa 1940s by German-born American sculptor Margot Kempe, 1898 to 1981, Bears a paper label inscribed, Margo Kempe, on the underside. Fleeing from the Nazis, the family of Margot Kempe went to South America, living in Ecuador for nine years.
