Amelio Giorgio Roccamonte was an Italian sculptor, known in Italian artistic circles as the sculptor of robots, and concrete art. He frequented, in Argentina, the studio of the sculptor Maria Cristina Molina Salas, where in 1943 he met Lucio Fontana, subsequently becoming his pupil, through the awarding of a scholarship at the Altamira Academy.
