A vintage Russian traditional lacquered wooden trinket box of unusual shape. Black ground color, red interior. The piece is hand painted and depicts a Russian falconer on a red horse. Hand signed in Russian Kholui, Falconer made by Osin. Kholuy miniature is a folk craft that developed in the village of Kholuy, Ivanovo region.
