A glass dish from the Domino series designed by Bertil Vallien, born 1938, a Swedish glass artist, for Kosta Boda. Square in shape with slightly upturned corners, this dish has a blue square face design at the center with a red swimming figure above it. Marked with a Kosta Boda label. Bertil Vallien is a highly respected glass artist and designer. In the 1950s, he studied under Stig Lindberg at the art school Konstfack in Stockholm. Best known for his work at Kosta Boda, Vallien is celebrated for sand casted sculptures. Many of these sculptures have the repeated motif face.
