An antique Japanese late Meiji era decorative brass plate. The interior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of a bird and a dragonfly in a garden with blossoming flowers made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features medallions with butterflies surrounded by a floral ornament made in the same technique. The backside is decorated with floral, cloud, and foliate scroll ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: the late 19th to the early 20th century.
