Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon, Russian, 1875 to 1958, ink painting on paper depicting a Saint Euphrosyne Monastery view, a womens Orthodox monastery in Polotsk, one of the oldest and largest centers of Orthodoxy in Belarus. Signed lower left. Framed. Provenance: the artwork was a part of the collection that was sold on the Shapiro Auctions, New York, Russian Art, June 15, 2010. Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon is a Russian and Soviet artist painter, master of landscape, set designer, art theorist, teacher, professor. Academician of the USSR Academy of Arts. Peoples Artist of the USSR. Winner of the Stalin Prize, first degree. Juon began his artistic work as an Impressionist landscape and genre painter with a Symbolist coloring. He also mixed in his landscape paintings elements of Palech and icon painting. One of a kind artwork.

Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and Age. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
