An antique Russian, Ukrainian Orthodox icon of Christ Pantocrator, the Lord Almighty, or Savior Jesus Christ. Hand painted in egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The icon features an embossed gilt Silver riza or oklad, engraved with traditional detailed patterns. Inscribed upper right and left. Circa the late 19th century to early 20th century. Marked with a paper label of the Trading House of N. Shestopalov and K. Krotov in Odessa, a store of church and military officer items, brocade and gold lace goods.
