An Art Deco oil on canvas painting depicting a seated female, face in half profile looking forward, with curly short hair, wearing a bright green sleeveless dress, an elegant white hat and gloves. Signed lower left: Lempicka. Bears a MOMA Museum of Modern Art stamp verso. Comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Ministry of Culture of Peru. Tamara de Lempicka, described as the first woman artist to be a glamour star, is known for her Art Deco-styled portraits of sexy, bedroom-eyed women in stylish dress and haunting poses.
