A set of antique English Arts and Crafts hand hammered tableware pieces, circa 1900 - 1940. Includes a teapot and a creamer by Samuel Groves and Co, each piece is marked on the bottom: Roundhead Leadless Pewter Made in England. And a 19th century claret jug made by James Dixon and Sons. Marked on the bottom, James Dixon and Sons, Shwffield. The British manufacturer James Dixon and Sons was the largest producer of Britannia metal during the nineteenth century. Britannia metal is a tin alloy similar to pewter, but contains a higher percentage of antimony and less copper or lead. European Decorative Arts, Table Ware, Bar Ware and Serve Ware For Collectors.
