The buckle is divided into two parts, one of which has a decorative dagger on a chain, insertable into the sheath on the second part of the buckle and thus covering it. Hallmarked with the Cyryllic makers initials AD, most likely for Dalman Alexander Karlovich, the owner of a silverware factory in 1880-1905, an 84 Russian silver standard and crossed anchors mark for St. Petersburg.
