A pair of German Scheibe Alsbach polychrome painted porcelain figurines, Exelmans and Mortier. The figurines are adorned with gilt accents and depicting French military leaders standing atop grassy terrain bases. Each is titled on the front of the base. Inscribed with the years of life, on the backside. Each is marked with a traditional blue ink hallmark, an impressed script, and numbered 12753, under the base. Circa: Mid to the late 20th Century. Marshal Remy Joseph Isidore Exelmans, 1st Comte Exelmans, 1775 to 1852, was a distinguished French soldier of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, as well as a political figure of the following period. Adolphe Edouard Casimir Joseph Mortier, 1st Duke of Trevise, 1768 to 1835, was a French military commander and Marshal of the Empire under Napoleon I, who served during both the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars.
