An antique Japanese, late Meiji era, enamel over brass plate. The plate is enameled with a polychrome medallion in a shape of a flower depicting two sparrows in blossoming chrysanthemum flowers surrounded by floral, foliage, and scrollwork patterns, made in the Cloisonne technique. The backside of the ware is adorned with images of flowers made in the same technique. the gorund is inlaid with a Goldstone. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to the early 20th century.
