An antique Japanese Meiji era covered and amphora shaped enamel over brass ginger jar The exterior of the jar is enameled with polychrome floral, foliage and geometrical medallions, and a foliage motif made in the Cloisonne technique. The domed cover is decorated with repeating stylized floral motifs, and cloud and geometrical ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The ground of the ware is inlaid with a Goldstone.
