A set of three Nazi German Iron crosses. A pair of the Iron crosses, enameled and engraved with detailed patterns, a swastika insignia to the center, and engraved with a date 1939, lower to the center on the front, and a 1813 date on the backside. One is completed with a ribbon and a metal pin badge adorned with a relief image of oak leaved and cross swords. The Iron Cross was a military decoration in the Kingdom of Prussia, and later in the German Empire 1871 to 1918 and Nazi Germany 1933 to 1945. King Frederick William III of Prussia established it on 17 March 1813 during the Napoleonic Wars EK 1813. The set also includes a 1870 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross pin, enameled and engraved with detailed patterns, a crown upper to the center, a W letter to the center, and engraved with a date 1870, lower to the center on the front. The Grand Cross of the Iron Cross was a decoration intended for victorious generals of the Prussian Army and its allies. It was the second highest class of the Iron Cross, following the Star of the Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded only twice. Along with the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, the Grand Cross was founded on 10 March 1813, during the Napoleonic Wars.
