An antique early 19th-century Austrian monumental hand-painted majolica vase. The foot and and wide neck are decorated with geometrical ornaments. The elongated body depicts exotic birds and leaves. Embossed hallmark F and AG, marks D522, 4 X 1101 are on the bottom of the piece. F and AG stands for Frederick and Alexander Gerbing was an Austrian manufacture based in Bodenbach that functioned from 1890 until the late 1910s. Art Nouveau Decor, Art Pottery And Porcelain.
