Renee Baronin von Vranyczany, German, Austrian, 1879 to 1958, patinated bronze sculpture of a tiger in the manner of Art Deco. Mounted on a figural base. Signed, Vranyczany, on the base. Renee Baronin von Vranyczany is a German, Austrian artist known for Art Deco sculptures. Renee Baronin von Vranyczany was born into a noble family. She grows up in Rijeka and moves to Vienna at a young age. In Vienna she first follows the Womens Academyin preparation for the Kunstgewerbeschule Art Academy. In 1903 she exhibited two sculptures in bronze and immediately received good reviews for the movement and dynamism in her work. She moves to Paris in 1909.
