Virginia Perle has been painting and drawing since early childhood and studied Fine Art at Montclair State College and Ocean County College. Virginia is an avid sailboat racer, and her accurate depictions of boats and nautical scenes come from long experience and observation. Her series of paintings of classic Barnegat Bay cat-boats are well known, and her watercolors cover a wide range of additional subjects including landscapes, seascapes, city scenes, still lifes, and portraits. She has exhibited extensively throughout the northeast, and her paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout the U.S. and in twenty nine countries. Her works have been published in numerous magazines and books. Virginia has lived and worked in Toms River, NJ for more than fifty years, and her works can be seen at her gallery there.
