A highly collectible ancient Chinese unglazed earthenware molded horse figurine, Han dynasty, Ca. 200-100 BC. The horse is depicted in a dynamic pose with one leg raised. It has a powerful neck and a neatly modeled head with convex eyes, ears pricked and teeth bared. Real horse hair would have been inserted into the open ridge running the length of the neck.
