An antique German Meissen hand painted polychrome porcelain figure. The figure depicts a sitting Cocker spaniel dog. Circa: late 19th century. Design by Erich Hosel, German, 1869 to 1953. Marked with a blue crossed swords mark, and numbered on the bottom. In contrast to the almost monumental animal figures of the 18th century animals in the early 20th century appear in their natural form.
