An antique late 19th to early 20th-century silver-covered tureen or pot by Christofle. The piece is fully covered with oriental engraved ornaments in the Islamic style. The lid is hand-painted and has a geometrical Art Deco knob. Presumably made for the Middle Eastern market. Hallmark 388178 is underneath one of the handles.
