The faces of the standard bearers are hand-tinted. The woodcut is the 58th print from the 1510s series titled The Triumphal Procession or Triumphs of Maximilian comissioned by the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I. Most of the procession, including this woodcut, was designed by Hans Burgkmair 1473 to 1531, a German printmaker. Edinburgh Museum of Science and Art Stamp is on the backside.
