A lot of WWII and Cold War era Russian Soviet propaganda posters. The lot includes posters, Went Ashore Katyusha by Vladislav Kyunnap; a poster depicting a reference to Saint George and the Dragon, a Russian soldier killing a snake in the shape of a swastika insignia; Partisans by Vladimir Menshikov; One Hundred Hectares, Fritz Three Arshins is Enough by Vasily Zavyalov. All posters from the Portfolio: Inmortal Feat, thirty two posters by Combat Pencil, Boevoi Karandash. Publishing house of the RSFSR. Circa: 1950s. Provenance: from an exhibition, Leningrad Collective Propaganda artists. Each poster is marked and stamped in the print. Boevoi Karandash is a creative association of Leningrad artists who produced propaganda posters and collections of satirical drawings in the middle of the 20th century.
