An antique late 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The icon is enclosed in a silver riza or oklad with polychrome enamel decoration. The icon represent Virgin Mary with Christ Child in the Our Lady of Kazan iconography.
