An antique late 19th century silver figural spice box or Besamin tower. Featuring three Jewish men playing musical instruments and holding the spice container set with a round semi precious cabochon stone to the top. Crafted for Havdalah, this Besamim Tower is used in a ritual once Sabbath is over. It is passed around for all participants to smell the spices. Hallmarked with an 84 silver standard, a makers mark with the Cyrillic initials: KP, an assay mark: AA 1894 and other Russian hallmarks.
