An antique 18th-century bronze sculpture, a fine example of the arts of Anyi people, Ivory Coast. The sculpture represents a male head in a headdress, most likely a king or chief of Sanwi, the kingdom of Anyi that was established in 1740. The sculpture is mounted on a wooden cubic base.
