Ancient late Byzantine Era style earthenware pottery bowl with underglaze design. Circa XVII century Near Eastern ceramics, most probably manufactured in north Syria and traded through Nishapur Khorasan Persia markets. The dish is white and has a red Kufic inscription on the inner side. Kufic script is an archetypical style of Arabic script that is a preferred script for Quran transcription and architectural decoration. The glaze is crackled. Museum quality Middle East Ceramics.
