A fine late 19th century Meissen porcelain vase decorated with gilt bordered panels with picturesque landscape depicting Bavarian Würzburg Castle on the obverse and colorful floral composition on the reverse. The background is bright green heightened with gilding. Marked on the bottom with an underglaze crossed swords mark, signed: Meissen. Meissen porcelain, also called Dresden porcelain or porcelaine de Saxe, German hard-paste, or true, porcelain produced at the Meissen factory, near Dresden in Saxony (now Germany), from 1710 until the present day.
