A Chinese Han Dynasty, 202 BC to 220 AD, hand made pottery house with a courtyard model and a figurine in the shape of a pig. The items are covered with a green glaze. The Han dynasty is the second great imperial dynasty of China. The first pottery to survive in appreciable quantities belongs to the Han dynasty. As far back as 1000 BC, the so-called porcelaneous wares or proto porcelain wares were made using at least some kaolin fired at high temperatures. Some of the key materials Han artists used include bronze, glazed and unglazed ceramics, jade, paint, stone, and wood.
