A set of a Chinese book and a 1946 calendar. The book contains calligraphy and etchings depicting Butsugen Butsumo, Buddha Eye, Mother of the Buddha, and others; marked In The Possession of The Koryu ji Temple, Kyoto Prefecture; adorned with lotus flower images on a hardcover and case cover. The calendar 1946 with the etching on the cover depicting a dog; contains Okubi e color prints, Geisha, Beautiful Women, by Kitagawa Utamaro. Kitagawa Utamaro (Japanese, c. 1753-1806) was a Japanese artist. He is one of the most highly regarded designers of ukiyo-e woodblock prints and paintings and is best known for his bijin okubi e large headed pictures of beautiful women of the 1790s.
