A vintage African Dan mask, Ivory Coast, Liberia. The mask is made in the form of an oval face with a high forehead, protruding lips and large round eyes. This is a type of mask known as a fire runner mask or a Zakpäi mask. Along the edge of the mask, there are holes for attaching to the head.
