Compiled by Russian émigrés in Berlin (hence the appearance of some German text) notable contributors included Bakst, Diaghilev, Benois, Grigor'ev, Goncharova, Bilibin, Somov, Makovskii, Schukaev, Lukomskii, and all the members of Mir Iskusstva (World of Art group).
