A vintage Danish sterling silver covered candy vase designed by Thorvald Nielsen Meier, Copenhagen, 1917 to 1948. The vase features a round, baluster shape and is adorned with a hammered surface. The vessel is topped with a conforming lid, easily removed by grasping the prominent, stepped finial. Below the main body, the base is embellished with stylized floral decorations. The body of the vase bears an engraved monogram and inscription. Marked with several marks including TH. MEIER mark on the bottom. Vintage European Silver Table Wares and Collectibles.
