Miriam Ecker is a native New Yorker. Her formal art training covered the field of commercial and advertising art. She was a professional illustrator for fifteen years. Seeking further realization of her creativity, she began exploring various other artistic mediums. Portraits and murals held her interest for a while, but her drive to expand her techniques resulted in a wide range of accomplishments. At six one woman gallery shows, she has exhibited watercolors, acrylics, oils, pen and ink, etchings, serigraphs and lithographs. She is also a sculptor, and a poetess.
