The brooch is an openwork coat of arms with a two headed eagle of the Russian Empire, holding a sword and the globus cruciger in its talons. The center of the eagle is set with a cobalt blue oval sapphire. At the top are the numbers of the three hundredth anniversary of the Romanov dynasty from 1613 to 1913 with a large white diamond between them. Above is the Monomakh hat, a symbol of Russian power, also set with diamonds of different sizes. Hallmarked with 56 K gold hallmark and makers mark on the back side.
