Attributed to Francisco Lozano Sanchis, Spanish, 1912 to 2000, oil painting on board depicting a still life with flowers. Signed lower right. Painter, teacher and member of the Royal Academies of Fine Arts of San Fernando and San Carlos, Francisco Lozano was interested in painting from his youth, and at the age of sixteen he began his training at the Academy of San Carlos in Valencia. Later he will continue his studies at the Alhambra Painters Residence, and after the civil war he will begin to make himself known. His career took hold in the 1940s, when he began to exhibit regularly in Madrid and other cities. Painter above all Mediterranean, his work focused from the beginning on the landscape, although from Sorollas initial influence he will evolve towards a more personal language, although equally sensitive to light and color. His is a synthetic landscape, orderly and austere, completely modern. One of a kind artwork.
