Jose Otero Abeledo, 1908 to 1996, known as Laxeiro, was a Spanish painter. His work shows a distancing from the regional naturalism of the time through the fusion of modernity and tradition. In 1981 the Laxeiro Collection was inaugurated in Vigo, the germ of what is today the Foundation that bears his name. One of a kind artwork.
