Lot 0030: EUGENE BOUDIN MANNER FRENCH WATERCOLOR PAINTING

41 reviews

A watercolor painting on paper, Low Tide Normandy, depicting a coastal seascape view in the manner of Eugene Louis Boudin, French, 1824 to 1898. Signed with initials, E. B., lower right. Framed. Eugene Louis Boudin was one of the first French landscape painters to paint outdoors. Boudin was a marine painter, and expert in the rendering of all that goes upon the sea and along its shores. His pastels, summary and economic, garnered the splendid eulogy of Baudelaire; and Corot called him the King of the skies. Antique European Fine Art, Marine Paintings, Wall Art, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
