A rare antique Russian silver enamel badge for the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the Governing Senate, 1711 to 1911. The right to wear the badge was granted to senators and, according to a special list, to officials serving in the Senate on the day of the jubilee. The sign in the form of a gilded crowned column in a wreath with the image of the Russian two headed eagle with the monogram of the Russian Emperor Peter I on a white enamel background in the center. Above the two headed eagle is the monogram of Emperor Nicholas II. At the top of the column is read in Russian: Law. At the base of the column is read in Russian: 17 II Governing Senate 1911.
