An antique Japanese vase, Meiji period, 1868 to 1912. The baluster body is finely worked in silver wire and adorned in full with polychrome flowers and foliage motifs made in the cloisonne technique on a midnight blue ground. The tapering neck and the base are decorated with polychrome foliage and floral patterns made in the same technique. Signed on the bottom, Ota.
