An ancient Pre Columbian Mesoamerican Olmec mask carved from brown steatite. It is a mans face with a stern, hard expression. The mask has harshly carved facial features. Comes with a stand. Labeled to the bottom. The Olmecs flourished during Mesoamericas formative period, dating roughly from as early as 1500 BCE to about 400 BCE. They were the first Mesoamerican civilization, and laid many of the foundations for the civilizations that followed. South American Collectibles, Home Decor.
