Numerous illustrations, many full page and printed in up to 3 colors, some after photographs by A. Rodchenko, Boris Ignatovich and others. Original pictorial wrappers printed in two colors. With contributions by Nikolai Aseev, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Joseph Stalin and others. With graphics and photographs by Dmitri Debabov, Aleksandr Deineka, Mecheslav Dobrokovskii, Boris Ignatovich, Mikhail Kaufman, Dmitri Moor, Rodchenko and others. This Work Journal devoted to industrial and agricultural progress had enormous impact on magazine design. The inventive interplay of graphic, type and photograph aggressively tested the potential of montage as both propaganda and an art form.
