A French limited edition glazed ceramic pottery plate, designed by Picasso for Madoura Plein Feu, 1956. The round shaped dish is adorned with a hand painted design representing a still life composition, signed lower left. Marked with a stamp Madoura Plein Feu Madoura, and Empreinte Originale De Picasso, on the backside. Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theater designer who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.
