An Old master manner mixed media painting on paper depicting an interior genre scene in a castle. The painting is adorned with a hand painting frame featuring animal, floral, foliage and foliate scroll ornaments, and gilding. Circa: 1964. Framed. Completed with a letter to Mr. and Mrs. Chappell from the artist, Claire Durieux, a Contemporary artist, signed and dated 1965. Claire Durieux is a Modern artist, known for graphic art prints and paintings. One of a kind artwork.
